Dear Mr. Toney,
since February 2004 I am a proud owner of a Ford F250 6.0 Power Stroke Diesel. I purchased the vehicle new from the XY Ford dealership in XY, CA. During the last year I experienced multiple issues with the car resulting in several repairs. I am very unsatisfied with the service provided by the dealership as the problems were misdiagnosed and unnecessary, costly repairs were conducted as a result. Due to the delay in diagnosing the correct cause of the engine problems I now face repairs, which could and should have been completed in the warranty period.

A rattling noise and motor surging caused me to bring the car to the dealership. However, the mechanics at the dealership were unable to identify the cause of the noise.

As the problems with the car persisted I brought the car again to the Ford dealership for a diagnose. The installed high quality after-market air filter was identified as the cause of motor surge and replaced with a Ford stock air filter. The cause of the rattling noise however could still not be identified. The problem of the motor surging however persisted and the engine would surge at slow speeds.

The car exhibited additional problems, not only was the engine surging, but it had trouble accelerating and even stalled. Due to high volume at the car dealership I was not able to get an appointment until 2 days after I experienced the problems. I was informed, that the root cause of the engine problems was a defective fuel injector control module. The replacement and labor costs were estimated at $1,100.
I have been a loyal Ford customer and feel treated unfair by the dealership as the problems could have been fixed within the extended warranty period, but weren't correctly diagnosed until x weeks after the expiration of the warranty. The manager of the Ford dealership, John Doe, seemed unable and unwilling to "help" us. On August 6th, 2009, I once more contacted the customer service of the dealership about the issue, but again without a satisfactory result.
Thus, I turn to you, hoping you would ...
Regards,
Mr. X
