what's the difference between "you belong to me" and "you belong with me"?

"You belong to me" is a statement of ownership... like my car belongs to me.
"You belong with me" more of a statement of compatibility... a good match... and endearment.

ya, the second is more of an emotional expression while the first one is a factual clarification of relationship, say ownership. The first expression can also be used for people, not only objects.
