Auswandern trotz Vorstrafe?

Hallo alle zusammen,

seit vielen Jahren träume ich davon in den Staaten zu leben.
Lange habe ich es vor mir her her geschoben.

Doch mit meiner Lebensgefährte steht nun unser Beschluss fest, wir wollen nach Texas und dort alt werden.

Man kann ja einiges im Internet finden ob und wie ... doch immer wieder bin ich auf dem Punkt gestossen,
das man mit einer Vorstrafe große Probleme hat.
Nun steigt bei mir die Angst, das ich meinen Traum aufgeben muss.
Denn ich bin vorbestraft und war in Deutschland sogar eine recht lange Zeit (knapp 8 Jahre) inhaftiert (wegen Betrugs).

Kann mir da jemand helfen und mir sagen, ob ich trotzdem ein Visum beantragen sollte, oder ob ich keine Chance habe in den Staaten leben zu dürfen?

Ich brauche Eure Hilfe!!!!

Hey Berry, Willkommen im Forum. Bei einem Visumsantrag für die USA musst du in der Regel ein polizeiliches Führungszeugnis vorlegen. Kleinere Vergehen mögen da nicht so sehr ins Gewicht fallen, keine Ahnung, aber wenn du 8 Jahre inhaftiert warst, sehe ich da ehrlich gesagt schwarz. Im Einzelfall mag das Konsulat anders entscheiden, kann ich mir aber nicht vorstellen.

So oder so müsstest du aber eh erstmal ein Visum finden, für das du in Frage kommst, von daher stellt sich die Frage vermutlich sowieso nicht. So einfach findet sich da nämlich kein Visum, Vorstrafe hin oder her.

Ich möchte in den Staaten arbeiten und Leben, damit käme ein I 140 oder ein I 526 Visum für mich in Frage.

So wie ich es sehe, werde ich also wenige Chancen haben ein Visum zu bekommen?
Gibt es den ein anderes Visum mit dem ich mehr Chancen hätte? z.B. I 129F?

Am besten stehen die Chancen, denke ich, wenn deine Lebensgefaehrtin Amerikanerin ist.
Die Vorstrafe ist natuerlich erheblich und es kann gut sein, dass dies ein Grund sein koennte, dass das Visum abgelehnt wird. Aber das kann hier mit Bestimmtheit, denke ich, keiner sagen.

Also da ich gelernter Mediengestalter bin, habe ich qualifizierte Ausbildung und auch die berufliche Erfahrung.
Gleichzeitig habe ich dazu eine Ausbildung als Rettungsassistent (EMS-B) und arbeite auch schon seit 20 Jahren in dem Beruf.

Lieber würde ich aber als Trucker in den Staaten arbeiten (zumal ich auch mit LKWs groß geworden bin - mein Vater war Spediteur).
Und in dem Bereich möchte ich auch eine Firma gründen und gleichzeitig deutsch-amerikanischen Import und Export betreiben.

Meine Lebensgefährtin ist deutsche Staatsbürgerin ...

Das sind zwar ehrenwerte Berufe, aber dafuer gibt es kein Visum. Und das I-129F faellt ja dann auch weg.

Aber es gibt auch hübsche amerikanische Frauen ...

Ahso, weiss das deine Freundin auch? Da wuerd ich dich ja gleich zum Teufel jagen. :D
Und mit einer Scheinehe machst du dich ja auch gleich wieder strafbar....

Fuer dich muessten wir erst einmal ein passendes Visum finden, das ist schon schwer genug. Und dann kommt auch noch die Vorstrafe dazu. Sieht nicht allzu gut aus, wuerde ich sagen.

Als LKW-Fahrer hat man in Kanada größere Chancen ein entsprechendes Visum zu bekommen, aber dazu sollte man erstmal in Deutschland den Berufskraftfahrer gemacht haben.
