Job Description

Coordinate interdisciplinary team of experts to perform technical analysis on vehicles built in the Chattanooga Tennessee assembly plant assuring support for the introduction and validations of countermeasures for the Series and/or Service vehicles. Maximize the resources of the area such as vehicle fleets, equipment and tools in order to assure the correct analysis results in an economic, efficient and prompt manner.

Manage the Vehicle Test Center Team in order to assure the validation and documentation of proposed countermeasures. Coordinate resources needed to operate the Vehicle Test Center and assure the conformity of cars in regards of legal requirement, Technical Requirements Specifications.

Release Pre-Serial Cars and Serial Cars for KAF’s, MAF’s, SoFa’s, WiFa’s and any kind of event cars together with Project Field Team.

1. Vehicle Test Center: Plan, coordinate and execute department development phase, release and run the Vehicle Test Center in Chattanooga. Define and document the processes according to ISO 900x.

Plan and maintain the equipment or the Test Center, especially the measurement equipment. Ensure all required equipment is maintained and available, up to date and calibrated to assure a successful work environment for analysis. Coordinate the team to design test benches in order to reproduce failures.

2. Release Event Cars: Establish a strategy, develop and maintain guidelines to release cars for KAF, MAF, SoFa, WiFa and any kind of drive event. Ensure that cars are up to date and fulfill market conformity, legal requirements and document status of cars. Establish and run an escalation process for all vehicles that do not meet legal requirements or have technical, design or production related problems.

3. Analysis of cars: Establish the strategy, develop and maintain the guidelines to operate an interdisciplinary team of specialists in Chattanooga to perform technical analysis on claimed vehicles. Develop and maintain the relationship with the Project/Field Team in order to improve quality results and communication within the factory. Documentation: Document the status of every car check according to ISO900x. Document the status and availability of all tools and the entire test equipment.

4. Front loading: Create mechanisms to assure that the knowledge of technical problems of current models is considered for new models, in order to avoid same concerns in the future. Support factory team with process improvements proposals to avoid reappearance of problems.

5. Communication: Provide factory Quality Leadership Team with continuous information regarding any complaint in pre-serial phase, field quality situation and safety related complaints and quality situation of dependant factories thru the Project/Fields Team
